Lake Erie Walleye Charters
LAKE ERIE WALLEYE CHARTERS
“Lake Erie – Walleye capital of the world.” This has been a statement made by many who have had the opportunity to fish this great body of water. According to many tournament anglers, Lake Erie consistently produces larger and greater numbers of Walleye than any other body of water. In Captain Bob’s words, “Lake Erie is by far the greatest fishery I have fished.” Fishing starts at ice out, usually in early March, and continues through late November. Early Walleye fishing techniques require a slow lure, heavy metal spoons and jigs, sometimes tipped with Minnows. As the season progresses into post spawn, the Walleye start to move into deeper water, where weight forward and small weighted harnesses cover more water and work throughout the rest of the year.
Captain Bob begins his Lake Erie charters for Walleye in April and continues through the end of October. Bookings are available throughout the year. The basic Walleye charter can take up to six people, including gear. The average day lasts about eight hours, dock to dock. Rods, reels, lures, live bait, and ice are included in the Basic Walleye charter. Executive charters are also available upon request. See the “FAQ” page to ensure you have the necessary equipment to make your day enjoyable.
